Mats Schelkens

Mats Schelkens is an experienced ICT Project Manager at UZA since March 2021, overseeing large IT projects and clinically driven business initiatives with a significant digital component. Previously, Mats held roles including EHR Application Expert and EHR System Administrator, specializing in the support and enhancement of Electronic Health Records. Additionally, Mats volunteers as an Emergency Medical Technician (112) with both Het Vlaamse Kruis vzw and Rode Kruis-Vlaanderen since 2005, providing critical medical care. Prior to UZA, Mats served as an Operating Room Planner at AZ Sint-Maarten and worked as a consultancy specialist, focusing on improving user experience for various organizations.
