Yakup Yilmaz

Yakup Yılmaz is an experienced maritime professional with a career spanning several decades. Currently serving as a Harbour Pilot at UZMAR since July 2018, Yakup has previously held significant roles including Senior Pilot, Port Captain, and PFSO at DİKİLİ LİMAN VE TURİZM İŞL.TİC.A.Ş. from January 2010 to July 2018, and Ocean Going Master and Superintendent at KONVOY MARITIME from August 2005 to December 2009. Early career experiences include roles such as Ocean Going First Officer and Ocean Going Deck Officer with various companies from 1996 to 2004. Yakup holds a Master’s degree in International Political Economy from Bursa Teknik Üniversitesi (2019-2021) and a Bachelor's degree from Deniz Harp Okulu, Tuzla (1989-1993), as well as education from Deniz Lisesi, Heybeliada (1985-1989).
