Ron Brooks

Ron Brooks has a diverse and extensive work experience in the transportation industry, specifically in accessible transit and paratransit services. Ron is the Founder and CEO of Accessible Avenue, a company that connects agencies and organizations committed to accessible and inclusive mobility for people with disabilities. In their role, Ron is responsible for all aspects of business operations, development, recruitment, and finance.

Ron is currently the Senior Director of Policy and Stakeholder Engagement at UZURV - The Adaptive TNC. Here, Ron utilizes their industry experience and personal lived experience as a disabled person to ensure that UZURV's products and services meet the needs of all constituencies, including the passenger transportation industry, taxpayers, and older adults or people with disabilities. Their responsibilities include communication with stakeholders, sharing information about UZURV's services, and incorporating customer feedback into business operations and strategic planning.

Previously, Ron worked as the Vice President of Transit Market Development at American Logistics and as the Manager of Accessible Transit Services at Valley Metro RPTA. Ron had also held various positions at Veolia Transportation and ATC Transportation, where they focused on business development and improvement.

Throughout their career, Ron has demonstrated a strong commitment to accessibility and inclusivity in transportation, advocating for safe and reliable transportation for special populations.

Ron Brooks completed their education at multiple institutions. Ron attended Ball State University from 1986 to 1988, majoring in Political Science. Ron then transferred to Harding University in 1985 and studied Undeclared for a year. Subsequently, Ron attended Indiana University Indianapolis from 1988 to 1990, and San Francisco State University, Lam Family College of Business from 1990 to 1992 to pursue International Relations. Apart from their formal education, they obtained a certification in Inclusively from the institution of the same name in 2023.
