Jerome van Biervliet

Jerome Van Biervliet serves as the Managing Director at VIB since September 2009, where Jerome leads the General Management team and founded VIB Discovery Sciences, focusing on early drug discovery, assay development, and agro-chemical screening campaigns. In addition to current roles at MEDVIA as a Board Member, and Chairman of the Board at Biotope Ventures Fund I, Jerome holds several board positions at companies including V-Bio Ventures, Augustine Therapeutics, ExeVir, Flandersbio, and Confo Therapeutics. Prior experience includes a consultancy role at Bain & Company and an academic background with degrees in Veterinary Medicine, Molecular Neuroscience, and ongoing studies in Corporate Finance and Clinical Pharmacology.
