Sathyanarayana Vemula has held various positions in the pharmaceutical industry since 1998. sathyanarayana began their career as a Sr. Manager at Dr.Reddy's Laboratories Limited in 1998. In 2005, they moved to Alkem Ltd, where they held the role of Head R&D - Regulated Markets. In 2010, they were appointed as the CEO of V-Ensure Pharma Technologies Pvt Limited.

Sathyanarayana Vemula obtained a B.Pharma from Kakatiya University (University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences) in 1993, majoring in Pharmaceutical Sciences. sathyanarayana then went on to pursue an M.Pharma from Jadavpur University, also in Pharmaceutical Sciences, which they completed in 1996.
