Capt. Ivan Barretto is a seasoned Marine Superintendent with extensive experience as a Master Mariner, specializing in geared and gearless bulk carriers, including ice-classed Lakers. They have successfully conducted emergency anchoring and search and rescue operations, and have administered life-saving controlled drugs under the guidance of CIRM Roma. Barretto began their maritime career as a Deck Cadet at Zambezi Shipping LLC and held various positions including Second Officer and Chief Mate at multiple companies before assuming the role of Marine Superintendent at V.Group in 2025.
