Kristel van Den Broeck

Kristel Van den Broeck is an experienced European Patent Attorney currently serving as a Senior Associate at V.O. Patents & Trademarks since April 2023. With a robust background in intellectual property, Kristel previously held the position of Managing IP Counsel and European Patent Attorney at Huntsman Corporation from June 2011 to February 2023. Prior to that, Kristel worked at IMEC for over a decade in various roles, including European Patent Attorney and IP patent portfolio manager. Kristel began an academic career as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Assistant/PhD student at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, where a PhD in Chemical Engineering was obtained. Education includes studies at the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (2007-2008), ie-net - KVIV (2004-2006), and Ghent University (1987-1991).
