Donald Kau

Donald Kau has a strong background in communications and corporate affairs. Donald served as the Head of Communications at V&A Waterfront starting in June 2017. Prior to that, they held the role of Head of Corporate Affairs at Santam Insurance from March 2011 to May 2017. Before joining Santam Insurance, they were the Managing Director at Meropa Communications from November 2005 to February 2011. Donald began their career at Transnet in February 1995 as the Media and Stakeholder Relations Manager, a position they held until July 2005.

Donald Kau completed an Executive Development Programme in 2004 at the University of Pretoria. In 2000, they attended X-Pert Group for Project Management training. In 1998-1999, they studied Graphic Design at AAA School of Advertising. From 1992-1996, they pursued a degree in Public Relations at the University of Johannesburg. Donald also obtained additional certifications, including UCT Feature Journalism Online Short Course from the University of Cape Town in collaboration with GetSmarter, Digital Marketing Essentials Course from Ogilvy Digital Marketing Academy, and Writing for Fiction Course from Writers Write - Write To Communicate.
