Gela Crane

Gela Crane is a seasoned geoscientist with extensive experience in exploring and managing geological assets across multiple countries. Currently, Gela serves as the Manager of Geosciences at Vaalco Energy, focusing on assets in Gabon and Egypt since November 2021. Prior to this role, Gela held positions at TransGlobe Energy Corporation as the Manager of Technical Services and Sr. Exploration Geologist, specializing in exploration assets in Egypt from August 2014 to November 2021. Additional experience includes being a Sr. Geologist at Iskander Energy, working on CBM assets in Ukraine, and at Winstar Resources Ltd, managing projects in Tunisia, Romania, and Hungary. Gela also gained experience as a Geologist at Encana, contributing to various exploration groups in North Africa and Canada. Gela holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology/Geochemistry from McGill University, earned in 1998.
