Oscar Yanez Melendez has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Oscar started their career as a Junior Software Engineer at voomza.com in January 2012, where they worked until August of the same year. Oscar then joined milclases.cl as a Junior Software Engineer in December 2012 and remained there until May 2013.

In May 2013, Oscar co-founded superDT SpA, where they served as a Co-Founder and Lead Engineer until April 2016. Oscar continued their entrepreneurial journey by co-founding Wolkie in April 2016, working as a Co-Founder and Lead Engineer until May 2018.

Following that, Oscar joined 2Brains Chile as a Software Engineer in October 2017 and worked until June 2018. Oscar then joined Cardumen Latam in June 2018 as a Software Engineer, where they worked until January 2019.

Oscar'swork involved technologies such as AWS, Docker, Django, React, Nest, Laravel, and languages like Python, Ts/Js, and PHP. Recently, in September 2021, Oscar transitioned into the role of Software Engineering Team Lead at Vacasa, where they lead a team of Software Engineers and collaborates with Product to implement technical solutions for the company.

Oscar Yanez Melendez has an Engineer's degree in Computer Science from the Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria, which they obtained from 2005 to 2011. During their education, they also studied Computer Science and Machine Learning at KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2010. Additionally, they briefly attended the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 2009, focusing on Computer Software Engineering.
