Laura Tolliver

Laura Tolliver has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Laura is currently working as a Business Area Manager at Vadum Inc. since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked for Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic as an Engineer from June 2017 to July 2022. Laura also served as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at NC State University from August 2009 to December 2016. Additionally, they gained experience as a Power Electronics Engineering Post Doc at ABB in June 2015, as well as an Associate Research Engineer at the National Institute of Aerospace from January 2014 to October 2014. Laura also had a student internship at LORD Corporation in May 2013.

Laura Tolliver pursued their education by completing a Bachelor's Degree in Physics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1998 to 2002. Following this, they attended Brooklyn College from 2003 to 2006, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Adolescent Mathematics Education. Laura then went on to study at North Carolina State University, where they earned a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2009 to 2012. Continuing their academic journey, Laura completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University between 2012 and 2016.
