Dr. Raúl Trujillo Álvarez has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Dr. Raúl started their career as a Professor for civil engineering at Universidad EAFIT Medellín in 1995. From 1999 to 2000, they worked as a Research Assistant at Ruhr-University Bochum. In 2000, they joined S & P CONSULT GmbH as the Head of the net management division. In 2009, they joined VAG-Group as a Senior Engineer and Head of the department of Pressure management. Dr. Raúl later served as the Regional Managing Director for Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, and currently holds the position of Regional Sales Director for Latin America at VAG-Group.

Dr. Raúl Trujillo Álvarez has an extensive education history. Dr. Raúl earned a degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad Santo Tomás Colombia in 1988. Dr. Raúl then pursued further education at Universidad Javeriana, Universidad de los Andes, and Universidad Nacional Bogotá in Colombia from 1985 to 1988, where they completed various refresher and actualization courses.

In 1990, Dr. Álvarez began postgraduate studies in Urban Development and Land Use Planning at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), which they completed in 1992, earning a PhD. (Dr.-Engineer) degree. Dr. Raúl continued their studies at KIT and received a Doctor of Engineering degree in 1995, specializing in the rehabilitation of urban water networks.

In addition to their formal education, Dr. Álvarez has obtained several certifications throughout their career. These certifications include courses such as "Giving Your Elevator Pitch," "Amazon Workspaces: Deploy Virtual Desktops," "Negotiation Skills," "Finance for Non-Financial Managers," "Analyzing Sales Competitors," and more. These certifications were obtained from LinkedIn and Coursera.
