Earlier in their career, Christen served as the Ministry & Special Events Leader and Recruiter at Fellowship Church, one of the most attended churches in America. In this role, they recruited, motivated, and coordinated a volunteer base for weekly experiences and special events. Christen also planned and executed large events and worked with vendors for event coordination. Additionally, they played a key role in developing women's message series and accompanying lessons, as well as assisting with promotional and social media campaigns.

Christen also gained experience as a Senior Corporate Recruiter at Martin Fletcher, a national healthcare staffing and recruitment firm. Christen focused on the permanent placement of qualified healthcare professionals and the interim placement of professionals through locums and travel companies. Christen utilized a personalized approach to attract high-caliber candidates and make appropriate matches with esteemed healthcare organizations.

Early in their career, Christen worked as a Marketing Intern and Game Day Operations assistant for the Fort Worth Brahmas, a minor league hockey team. In this role, they collaborated with a team to implement game day operations and execute events during game breaks.
