Sierra Willis, MS, ATC, CIP has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Sierra is currently employed at Vail Health, where they serve as the RCOI Program Manager, overseeing the development and daily operations of the research conflict of interest program. In this role, they develop RCOI policies and procedures and reviews annual RCOI disclosures in relation to IRB submissions. Prior to this, Sierra served as an IRB Specialist and IRB Coordinator at Vail Health, where they reviewed research submissions, ensured compliance with federal regulations, and provided consultations to researchers.

Before joining Vail Health, Sierra was a Professional Triathlete for iTz Multisport Coaching, Elevate PHW, Sport Systems, and Rudy Project. Sierra participated in short and long course triathlons and retired in 2018 to pursue a healthier work/life balance.

Additionally, Sierra has experience at the University of New Mexico as an IRB Analyst, where they reviewed research protocols and provided training and consultations to researchers. Sierra also worked at New Mexico Sport Systems as an Exercise Physiologist and Sales Associate, developing and running a custom gait analysis studio.

Sierra's earlier work experience includes roles as a Sales Associate at Revolution Bicycles, a Front Desk Clerk and Personal Trainer at The Front Climbing Club, and a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Utah. Sierra also worked at Second Nature Wilderness Program, where they supervised and ensured the safety of students in the wilderness.

To start their career, Sierra worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Toledo, teaching labs in Anatomy, Physiology, and Exercise Physiology. Sierra also conducted research on cellular and molecular regulation of muscle size and worked as a Per Diem athletic trainer for various sporting events in the community.

Sierra Willis, MS, ATC, CIP, has an extensive education history. Sierra first pursued their Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training - Sports Medicine at The University of Toledo from 2003 to 2007. After completing their undergraduate studies, Sierra went on to earn their Master's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the same institution from 2007 to 2010. Sierra's educational journey continued with their pursuit of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Rehabilitation Science at the University of Utah, which they completed from 2012 to 2013.

In addition to their educational achievements, Sierra has obtained several certifications. Sierra is a Certified Athletic Trainer, certified by the Board of Certification. Sierra has also obtained the Certified IRB Professional (CIP) certification from PRIM&R (Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research) in March 2018.
