Hunter Mortensen

Hunter Mortensen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in ski patrol management, outdoor education, and avalanche safety. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Ski Patrol at Vail Resorts since September 2021, Hunter also teaches professional-level avalanche courses for the American Avalanche Institute. Renowned as a TV talent, Hunter has appeared in various productions as a professional rescuer. Additionally, Hunter has led high school students in wilderness education, emphasizing ecology and natural history, and has served as the Mayor Pro-tem and Town Council Member for the Town of Frisco. Previous roles include Ski Patrol at Breckenridge Ski Resort and Snowboard Instructor at Keystone Ski Resort. Hunter holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Colorado State University and a high school diploma from Fountain Valley School.
