Jani Maljanen

Jani Maljanen has extensive work experience in the field of engineering and development. Jani currently holds the position of Head of Engineering, Nordics at Vaimo, where they have been since April 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Technical Manager at Vaimo, leading a team of 40 software engineers, including 10 direct reports, from August 2020 to April 2023. Jani also worked as a Frontend Architect at Vaimo from September 2019 to August 2020, and as a Team Lead & Frontend developer from October 2017 to September 2019.

Before joining Vaimo, Jani had self-employment experience as a Freelance FE/UX developer from 2009 to 2016. Jani also worked as a Web Editor at The Finnish Defence Forces from March 2011 to October 2011, and as a Technical Assistant at Feeltainment Oy from May 2009 to October 2011.

Jani Maljanen obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA degree in Information Technology from Oulu University of Applied Sciences in 2020. Prior to that, they studied Information Processing Science at the University of Oulu from 2011 to 2019. Jani also completed basic studies in Information Processing Science at the University of Oulu from 2007 to 2010. Additionally, Jani obtained several certifications, such as Frends Development - Basics from Frends Enterprise iPaaS in 2022, Contentful Certified Professional from Contentful in 2022, Elements of AI from the University of Helsinki and Reaktor in 2019, and various Adobe certifications related to Magento Commerce development in 2018 and 2019.
