Ari Lahti

President at Football Association of Finland (SPL)

Ari Lahti is an experienced financial market professional and business leader. He is an active entrepreneur who likes to actively develop his businesses. Ari has worked as an adviser to several major energy utilities and global infrastructure funds in the Nordic market since 1995. He and his company, ICECAPITAL, are well known for their infrastructure capabilities which include electricity utilities, telecoms, water utilities and road and rail infrastructure.

Ari was elected as President of the Football Association of Finland in January 2018. He has been closely involved in Finnish football for more than 20 years. Ari was Chairman of the Board of Finnish Premier League (Veikkausliiga) in 1997-2001 and Vice Chairman in 2008-2018. Ari has been the main owner of his home town premier league football team, Kuopion Palloseura (KuPS), since 2006. Ari is also member of UEFA Finance Committee.

Ari has also served in several boards including Veikkaus Oy (Member and Deputy Chairman 2002-2012), Wulff Group plc (Chairman 2000-2010), Scandinavian Tailor Group Oy (2010- ) and Guggenheim Helsinki Supporting Foundation (Chairman 2014-2019).
