Ski Milburn has an extensive work experience, beginning in 1977 as a Partner at Milburn Sparn Architects, where they were the lead technologist and responsible for $100 million of energy efficient construction. In 1980, they joined the Board of Novan Energy as an Outside Director following a personal investment. In 1987, they founded, was CTO and CEO of VAIREX corporation, a components supplier to the fuel cell and diesel emissions control industries with offices in the UK, US and Japan. In 2008, the company was acquired by a venture backed, purpose-built UK-based holding company. In 1989, they became Chairman and CEO of American Toxxic Control (US Filter), where they performed a turnaround, and then arranged a recapitalization and takeover of the company by an inside shareholder group. In 1996, they became Owner and Developer of Whiterock LLC, an Energy Star rated small commercial building. In 2007, they joined the Board of Novan Solar as an Outside Director following a personal investment. In 2010, they became Chief Executive Officer of Eberspächer VAIREX, and in 2011 they became an Industry Analyst at Pike Research. In 2014, they joined the Board of Colorado Solar Energy Industries Association (COSEIA) as Treasurer and focused on strategic planning.
Ski Milburn attended the University of Colorado Boulder from 1968 to 1974, where they earned their Bachelor of Architecture degree with honors in the field of Architecture.
