Esa Hakulinen

Esa Hakulinen has a strong background in quality assurance and testing. Esa is currently working as a Quality Assurance Lead at VALA Group Oy since September 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Keva as a Test Manager from April 2019 to September 2020, where they led the software testing team in a large-scale pension payment system renewal project. Their responsibilities included test automation development, hands-on testing tasks, test data management, and the development of testing processes.

Before joining Keva, Esa worked as a QA Specialist at S-Pankki from March 2018 to March 2019. Esa gained experience as a QA Engineer at Inex Partners Oy from July 2016 to February 2018, and as a Project QA Engineer from May 2014 to June 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant at Tampere University of Technology from October 2013 to May 2014 and as a Mathematician Trainee/QA Engineer at Eläketurvakeskus – Finnish Centre for Pensions from May 2013 to September 2013.

Furthermore, Esa has also worked as a part-time teacher at Tampereen yliopiston normaalikoulu from September 2011 to April 2012.

Esa Hakulinen completed their education at the Tampere University of Technology from 2007 to 2014. During this time, they obtained a Master of Science (Tech.) and became a Teacher in Mathematical Subjects. Their field of study was Mathematics and Computer Science. Additionally, they hold a certification in ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board.
