Kimmo Pasanen

Kimmo Pasanen has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Kimmo started their career as a Waiter, Duty Manager, and Bartender at Scandic Hotels from 2004 to 2007. Kimmo then worked as a Waiter and Duty Manager at Royal Ravintolat Oy in 2007. From 2008 to 2010, they held the role of Bar Manager at Scandic Hotels.

In 2010, Kimmo joined Opteam as an HR Coordinator, where they were responsible for HR needs, recruitment, competence assessments, and orientation for new employees. Kimmo worked at Opteam until 2018, with a break for parental leave from August 2015 to August 2016 and study leave from August 2016 to May 2018.

From 2018 to 2022, Kimmo worked at Sogeti, initially as an Analyst, where they contributed to multiple projects involving test design, implementation, and reporting. Kimmo also worked as a Test Consultant, handling system integration tests, managing testing in ALM, and serving as a test manager on the customer side of an agile project. In 2022, they joined VALA as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer.

Overall, Kimmo Pasanen has a strong background in quality assurance, test consulting, and coordination of HR activities.

Kimmo Pasanen attended Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences from 2004 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Hospitality Management degree with a specialization in hotel and restaurant management. In 2016, Kimmo returned to Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences and completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Information Technology in 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Kimmo has obtained several certifications. In November 2017, they received the Haaga-Helia PRO 2016-2017 certification from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. Kimmo also obtained the TMap® Suite Test Engineer certification from EXIN your ICT competence partner in March 2018. Furthermore, in September 2018, Kimmo completed the Elements of AI certification from the University of Helsinki. Kimmo then pursued the Agile with Atlassian Jira certification from Coursera in October 2020. Most recently, in August 2021, Kimmo obtained the Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certification from the iSQI Group.
