Mikael Mäkelä

Mikael Mäkelä has extensive work experience in the field of testing and quality assurance. Mikael is currently working as a QA Lead at VALA since February 2020. Prior to that, Mikael worked at LTC-Otso as a Test Manager from March 2015 to February 2020 and as a Testing Specialist from February 2014 to February 2015. Mikael also worked at CGI as a Testing Specialist from February 2010 to February 2020 and at Logica as a Testing Specialist from February 2010 to September 2012.

Before that, Mikael worked at Accenture as a Platform Specialist from February 2008 to January 2010, at TietoEnator as a Testing Engineer from July 2007 to January 2008, and at Nokia as a Testing Engineer from January 2006 to June 2007. Additionally, they gained experience as a Seasonal Trainee at Nokia in the role of Testing Engineer from May 2005 to August 2005 and at Tikkurila as a Helpdesk Person from February 2004 to August 2004.

Mikael Mäkelä completed their Bachelor's degree in Information Technology at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences from 2001 to 2006. Mikael further pursued their studies and obtained a Master's Degree in Information Technology from the same university between 2018 and 2019. In addition to their formal education, Mikael has also obtained several certifications. Mikael earned the ISTQB Certified Test Analyst, Advanced Level certification from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board in May 2013. In September 2017, they obtained the SAFe 4 Certified Practitioner certification from Scaled Agile, Inc.
