Sakari Sutela

Sakari Sutela has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to testing and automation.

Sakari started their career in 1998 at Nokia Siemens Networks, where they worked as a Test Engineer and later as an SW Designer. In these roles, they were responsible for testing functionality and stability, as well as designing software.

In 2006, they joined Comptel as a Senior Test Engineer. Here, they tested functionality and stability through GUI, automated testing through various tools such as Selenium and Grinder, and served as a ScrumMaster.

In 2014, Sakari joined Schneider Electric as a Test Engineer. Sakari'sresponsibilities included developing and maintaining test programs, implementing automation for the production test environment, and creating automation scripts in a virtual environment.

Sakari then moved on to Qentinel in 2018, where they worked as a Test Automation Specialist for a brief period. Later that year, they joined Visma as a Consultant, a position they held until 2021.

Currently, Sakari works at VALA Group Oy as a Test Automation Engineer.

Sakari Sutela started their education in 1988 at Rovaniemen keskustan lyseo, where they graduated in 1991. Sakari then attended the Computer Institute of Raahe from 1994 to 1998, where they studied Telecommunications Engineering and obtained a degree as a Telecommunications technician.

In addition to their formal education, Sakari has obtained several certifications. In 2004, they received the Foundation Certificate in Software Testing from ISEB. Furthermore, in December 2020, they obtained the ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level Agile Tester Extension (CTFLAT) from the Finnish Software Testing Board (FiSTB).
