Tuomas Tynkkynen

Tuomas Tynkkynen's work experience includes working as a Software Engineer at VALA Group Oy since November 2018, where they consult for a client utilizing embedded Linux in 4G & 5G RF products. Tuomas mainly develops software for custom ASIC & FPGA hardware accelerators and debugs at the register level both for the hardware and the RF signal generated by it.

Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Tuxera from September 2015 to September 2018, where they worked with exFAT, FAT & NTFS filesystems for the Linux kernel. Tuomas was responsible for production debugging, performance analysis, and integration into customer projects. Tuomas also used Nix & NixOS for an integration testing system running on VMs and real embedded hardware.

Tuomas also has experience as a Systems Software Intern at NVIDIA, where they worked in the same role during summer internships in 2012, 2013, and 2014. Tuomas'sresponsibilities included writing stress tests, bugfixes, and tooling for various Tegra kernelspace GPU drivers, as well as developing scripts for nightly code coverage measurements in kernelspace & userspace.

Additionally, they have worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Helsinki from September 2011 to May 2012. Tuomas developed for a cloud platform under R&D for the TiViT's national Cloud Software Program and conducted experiments with OpenStack for the university's computer cluster.

Tuomas Tynkkynen attended the University of Helsinki from 2011 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science. Subsequently, from 2017 to 2019, they pursued further education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science.
