Maarten Peters

Maarten Peters has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Maarten started their career in 2010 as an Administration Employee at Gemeente Den Haag. In 2012, they worked as a Goalie Trainer at HC Klein Zwitserland. Maarten then moved on to Sanoma Media in 2013, where they worked as a Data Developer for a few months before transitioning to Support Business Analyst at Sanoma NL in the same year. In 2015, they became a Business Analyst at Sanoma Media, where they worked until 2016. In 2017, they joined Valcon as a Principal Data Engineer, and in 2022 they were promoted to the role of Principal Data Scientist.

Maarten Peters completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Data Science from the University of Amsterdam from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communication & Multimedia Design from De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences from 2008 to 2014. Maarten also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Industrieel Product Ontwerp from the same institution, which they completed from 2005 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Maarten has obtained several certifications, including an Intro to Splunk certificate from Splunk, various certifications from Databricks and Coursera, and multiple tracks related to Data Science and programming from DataCamp. Maarten also holds a Professional Scrum Master I certification from Scrum.org.
