Renz Bakx

Renz Bakx has a diverse work experience. Renz is currently working as a Senior Data Scientist at Valcon, where they utilize their expertise in data engineering, analytics, and software development to assist Valcon's clients. Prior to this, Renz worked as a Data Scientist at Salut., a mobile app focused on individualized health. In this role, they applied data analytics to enhance the user experience. Renz also gained experience as a Trainee Analytics at Coöperatie VGZ, where they worked in various departments and conducted analyses to improve predictive models. Additionally, Renz served as a research intern at Radboud University, where they studied relativistic effects on star motion and developed a simulation program. Before that, they had a research intern position at Radboud University as well. Renz started their career as Penningmeester (Treasurer) at the Koepel voor studieverenigingen van de FNWI, Olympus, managing the financial administration of the organization.

Renz Bakx completed a Master of Science (MS) in Particle and Astrophysics from Radboud University from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, Bakx obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physics and Astronomy from the same university between 2011 and 2015. In addition to the formal education, Bakx also acquired several certifications, including Neural Networks and Deep Learning, Practical Machine Learning, and R Programming, from Coursera in 2019.
