Sander Boleij

Sander Boleij is an experienced professional in sustainability and finance, currently serving as an Associate Partner at Valcon since November 2025. Prior to this role, Boleij worked at Synechron as an Associate Director of Sustainable Finance from September 2021 to October 2025, focusing on embedding sustainability within financial services. Boleij's extensive experience also includes managing group sustainability at Van Lanschot Kempen for over a decade and leading risk analytics at ING Nederland for more than 13 years, where responsibilities included developing sustainability risk policies and handling socially responsible investments. Additionally, Boleij has a strong academic background with multiple degrees from Tilburg University, where studies encompassed philosophy and economics, complemented by teaching roles at Utrecht University and Fontys University of Applied Sciences.
