Brian Oliver

Brian Oliver has extensive experience in the metals industry, currently serving as Product Manager for Vale's Base Metals nickel and cobalt marketing since January 2006. Their diverse roles at Vale include Refinery Manager, where Brian led production teams to achieve significant operational and safety improvements, and Production Area Superintendent, responsible for producing finished nickel, cobalt, and copper products. Additionally, Brian has held positions such as Startup Team Leader, Research Engineer, and Project Metallurgist, contributing to successful project startups and pilot studies. Prior to joining Vale, Brian worked as Project Leader at Energy Management Systems, overseeing HVAC control system installations. Brian holds a Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto, an Advanced Leadership Program certification from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and a B.A.Sc in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto.
