Ilidio Cumbane

Ilidio Cumbane is a Senior Geologist with extensive experience in the coal sector, currently working at Vale Mozambique since April 2008. In the position of Senior Coal Mine Pit Geologist since 2012, Ilidio Cumbane has been involved in grade control, geological model development, mining routine reporting, and reconciliation, while also managing drilling and geophysics contracts. Previously, from 2008 to 2012, Ilidio Cumbane served as a Coal Exploration Geologist, focusing on drilling plan design and data management. Before joining Vale, Ilidio Cumbane was a Geologist at the Mozambique National Water Directorate, contributing to national water information systems and groundwater resources management. Ilidio Cumbane earned a BSc Honours in Geology from Eduardo Mondlane University between 2000 and 2006.
