Pieter Loock

Pieter Loock is an experienced mining professional with a career spanning over two decades in various managerial and engineering roles. Currently serving as General Manager at Vale since April 2019, Pieter has also held positions including Mine Manager for Underground Operations and Operational Readiness Manager within the same company. Prior experience includes roles at Gold Fields Ltd. as Business Improvement / Mine Manager, CEO at Fox Projects (Pty) Ltd, Project Manager at Lonmin Platinum, Mining Engineer / Project Manager at RSV, and Technical Assistant / Project Mining Engineer at Anglo Platinum. Pieter holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the University of Pretoria.
