Jonathan Hsu

Jonathan Hsu has a diverse work experience in the fields of operations, venture capital, and consulting. Jonathan recently joined Valence Discovery as part of their operations team in 2022. Previously, Jonathan held the role of Director of Investments at Front Row Ventures from April 2021 to May 2022, where they were involved in investing in university startups. Prior to that, they worked as a Venture Capital Analyst at Esplanade Ventures from May 2021 to September 2021. Jonathan also gained experience at ACE Consulting Group, where they served as both Director and Associate from September 2020 to September 2021, advising startup companies in the Kitchener-Waterloo region. In addition, they participated in the RippleX Fellowship program at Ripple Ventures from January 2021 to April 2021, focusing on startup building and venture capital.

Jonathan Hsu has a Bachelor of Science degree in Science and Business with a specialization in Biochemistry from the University of Waterloo. Jonathan attended the University of Waterloo from 2017 to 2022. In 2020, Jonathan participated in an exchange program at the National University of Singapore, where they studied Science and Business. Additionally, in 2019, they briefly studied Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Shenzhen University and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. In terms of certifications, Jonathan obtained The Duke of Edinburgh's Award in April 2017 from The Duke of Edinburgh's Award institution.
