Gareth Eckhout

Gareth Eckhout has a comprehensive work experience in the drilling fluids industry. In 1999, they started as a Laboratory Technician at Baker Hughes, a GE company, before transitioning to become a Senior Drilling Fluids Engineer and Technical Advisor from 2000 to 2005. Gareth then served as a Senior Operations Coordinator and Technical Manager for ExxonMobil at Baker Hughes from 2005 to 2007, followed by the role of Technical Manager responsible for the Mid Continent from 2007 to 2008.

In 2009, Eckhout joined AES Drilling Fluids, LLC, where they held various positions, including Division Manager for Midcon/North LA from 2009 to 2013, U.S. Executive Sales Manager from 2013 to 2015, and U.S. Director of Technology and VP of Operations from 2015 to 2017.

Eckhout then joined QMax in 2017, serving as U.S. Sales and Corporate Account Director until 2019. Afterwards, they took on the role of Vice President of Technology at Reliable Drilling Fluids, LLC from 2019 to 2020. Currently, Eckhout holds the position of Vice President at Valence Drilling Fluids, where they previously served as Strategic Accounts Director in early 2020.

Gareth Eckhout has a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Aberdeen.
