Shawn French

Shawn French has a diverse and extensive work experience in the drilling fluids industry. Shawn started their career at M-I SWACO in 2006 as a Drilling Fluids Specialist IV, where they worked on customer rigsites in the southern US land market. Shawn then progressed to become a Technical Service Engineer, developing, testing, and implementing new technology products in the field for the Drilling Solutions segment. Shawn later took on the role of Business Development Manager, marketing and selling all new technology products while acting as a liaison between the research and development team and operations. Shawn further advanced to become a Project Engineer, managing drilling fluid operations and writing programs. In 2014, Shawn transitioned to the position of Account Manager, where they provided technical support and developed new business for clients drilling in the US land. Shawn'sexpertise and experience led him to ultimately become a Senior Account Manager at M-I SWACO. In 2018, Shawn joined Valence Drilling Fluids as their Vice President of Strategic Accounts, where they provided strategic direction, developed goals and objectives, and pursued new sales opportunities while maintaining communication with existing customers.

Shawn French began their education in 1997 at San Jacinto College, where they pursued their studies for three years. While the specific degree and field of study are not provided for this period, it laid the foundation for their further education. In 2000, Shawn French enrolled at The University of Texas at San Antonio and completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Geology in 2002.
