Amy Cone

Amy Cone is an experienced geologist currently employed at Valence Operating Company since October 2018, previously serving as a Senior Geologist in the Northeast Appalachia Division at Southwestern Energy from June 2010 to June 2018. During this tenure, Amy successfully planned and monitored the drilling of multiple Marcellus Shale wells, developed a comprehensive 3D geocellular geostatistical model, and led a significant asset study to enhance well performance in a challenging area. Earlier positions included working in the Fayetteville Shale Division, where Amy created valuable geomodels and improved core data organization systems, and as a Rotational Geologist, contributing to various technical projects. Amy began the career with a brief internship at Devon Energy, focusing on geological data integration. Amy holds a Master's degree in Geology from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor's degree in Geology from Smith College.
