Sounil Yu

Sounil Yu is currently an advisor at Valence Security, but they have also held various positions at different companies throughout their career. Sounil was previously a CISO-in-Residence at YL Ventures, a venture advisor at YL Ventures, a visiting fellow at the National Security Institute - George Mason University - Antonin Scalia Law School, and a book author at Cyber Defense Matrix. Sounil has also worked for grip security, permiso security, realciso.io, and enso.security. Sounil Yu has been working in the cybersecurity field for many years and has gained a lot of experience and knowledge in this area. Sounil is a well-respected figure in the cybersecurity community and is known for their work in helping companies improve their cybersecurity posture.

Sounil Yu graduated with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Economics from Duke University. Sounil then went on to earn their M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech. Sounil Yu is certified by (ISC)² as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and by the SANS Institute as a GIAC Certified Forensics Analyst (GCFA) and GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN).
