Dr. Steven Leboeuf

President & Co-founder at Valencell

Dr. Steven LeBoeuf has a diverse and extensive work experience. Dr. Steven began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Louisiana Tech University in 1992. Dr. Steven then went on to work as a Radar & RF Electronics Undergraduate Researcher at The University of Kansas in 1994. In 1996, they served as a Graduate Student Solid State Research Assistant at North Carolina State University until 2001. Dr. LeBoeuf then moved on to GE Research as a Biosensor Project Manager & Device Scientist until 2006. Following this, they founded Valencell in 2006, where they served as President & Co-Founder, focusing on developing biometric sensor technology for consumer digital health solutions. Additionally, they were an Advisor at Dot Metrics Technologies from 2009 to 2015. Dr. LeBoeuf has also held roles at Snootrac as an Owner, producing independent films and animations, and at IEEE as an Instructor in 2013. Currently, they are a Health Division Board Member at the Consumer Technology Association starting in 2022.

Dr. Steven LeBoeuf earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics & Electrical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University in 1996. Dr. Steven furthered their education by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University in 2001.
