Lisa MacOn

Lisa Macon, PhD, is an accomplished academic and author with extensive experience in computer science and mathematics education. Currently serving as Interim Dean of the School of Computer Science, Engineering, Logistics, and Applied Sciences at Valencia College, Lisa has held various roles including Program Chair and Professor in Computing Technology and Software Development and previously served as Dean of the Division of Engineering, Computer Programming, and Technology. Lisa’s commitment to education is reflected in a passion for teaching computer science and programming. Additionally, Lisa is an author, with a book titled "Frozen: Poems by Lisa Macon" available on major platforms. Educational credentials include a PhD and a Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of Central Florida, and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Early career experience includes roles in software development and quality assurance at significant organizations such as the Associated Press and KANDU Incorporated.
