Orlando Rios

Orlando Rios is an experienced chemistry educator and professional with a significant academic background. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico since February 2013, Rios also teaches at Valencia College and Sistema Universitario Ana G. Méndez, engaging with students in both English and Spanish. Prior teaching roles include Adjunct Chemistry Professor at Miami Dade College, where responsibilities included curriculum development and student advising. Rios has a diverse career in the chemical industry, holding positions as Associate Scientist at Noven Pharmaceuticals, Technical Director at D'ARCY Skin Care, and QC Analyst III at Elan Transdermal Technologies, among others. Rios obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, along with a BS in Chemistry and pre-med and an M.S. in Analytical Chemistry from Universidad de Puerto Rico.
