Trisha Charles

Trisha Charles, Ph.D., serves as the Director of Employee Relations and Equal Opportunity at Valencia College, where responsibilities include leading organization-wide equal opportunity initiatives for nearly 5,000 employees and over 70,000 students, conducting investigations into discrimination and harassment allegations, and generating detailed reports. Previously, Trisha held several roles within the college, including Assistant Director and Coordinator of Equal Opportunity & Employee Relations, where engagement with workplace concerns and conflicts was paramount. Additionally, Trisha developed a primary prevention education program under the DOJ OVW Grant and provided training in equal opportunity policies. Trisha possesses a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Central Florida, as well as master's and bachelor’s degrees in Criminal Justice and related fields from the University of Cincinnati and the University of Central Florida, respectively.
