Juergen Baumgartner

Juergen Baumgartner has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Juergen began their career as a Firmware/Hardware Engineer at Propack Data GmbH in 1994 before transitioning to Hitex Systementwicklung GmbH, where they held positions as a Hardware Engineer and later a Product Manager. In 2003, they worked as a Freelance Hardware and Systems Engineer under their own company, Baumgartner.

Juergen then joined SMSC, initially as a Manager Product Marketing at Oasis Silicon Systems, which got acquired by SMSC. Juergen later became a Senior Manager Product Marketing at SMSC until 2013, when Microchip Technology acquired the company. At Microchip Technology, they served as a Manager Product Marketing until 2016.

In 2016, Juergen ventured into independent consulting work briefly before joining Valens Semiconductor as a Senior Product Manager Automotive. Juergen held this role until August 2020 when they were promoted to Director of Product Management Automotive at the same company.

Aside from their professional career, Juergen also took a brief break for personal pursuits. Juergen worked at Down Under in 2016, where they took on a travel role, prioritizing adventures and experiences outside of conventional work environments.

Juergen Baumgartner pursued their education at the University of Applied Sciences Karlsruhe from 1990 to 1994. Juergen earned a degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering, receiving the title of "Dipl.-Ing. (FH)." Prior to their university studies, Juergen completed a professional training as an electronic technician at Endress+Hauser from 1984 to 1987.
