Valente
Kim van de Wetering is an experienced communication advisor at Valente, a branch association focused on participation, guidance, and safe shelter, since April 2019. In addition to this role, Kim has worked as a journalist and photographer since April 2014, collaborating with various organizations and media. Previous positions include editorial roles at MT Magazine, AD Utrechts Nieuwsblad, and Trouw. Kim also has experience in public relations as a coordinator at IMC Weekendschool and has held marketing and web editing positions at Electrolux. Kim holds a Master of Arts in Literature from Utrecht University and a post-master's degree in Journalism from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Vereniging Valente maakt zich sterk voor kwetsbare mensen in onze samenleving, zoals dak- en thuisloze mensen, slachtoffers van huiselijk geweld en cliënten in beschermd wonen. De branchevereniging vertegenwoordigt tientallen instellingen en instanties uit het hele land, verbindt duizenden professionals en zorgt voor een continue dialoog tussen branche, politiek en maatschappij. Dat doet zij onder meer door organisaties te adviseren, kennisdeling en ervaringsdeskundigheid te faciliteren en belanghebbenden te raadplegen en informeren. Mede dankzij deze activiteiten wordt de stem van zo’n honderdduizend cliënten gehoord. Op lokaal, regionaal én landelijk niveau. Valente is per 2020 ontstaan uit een fusie tussen Federatie Opvang en RIBW Alliantie.
