Garry Carlin

Garry Carlin is a highly experienced operations and process engineering professional with a strong background in the petroleum industry. Since October 2011, Garry has held multiple leadership roles at Valero Energy Corporation, including Complex 1 Manager and Complex 2 Manager, overseeing a variety of refining assets such as crude and vacuum distillation, hydrotreating processes, and sulfur recovery. Prior to this, Garry worked at Murphy Oil, where key responsibilities included supervising process engineers at the Milford Haven Refinery and specializing in crude and vacuum distillation processes. Garry's extensive career includes roles at Total and BNFL, contributing to various refining and processing areas. Garry holds an MSc in Chemical Processing: Sustainable Engineering from the University of Strathclyde and a First-Class BEng Hons in Chemical Engineering from the University of the West of Scotland.
