Michael Federspiel

Michael Federspiel is an accomplished professional in the field of chemical engineering, currently serving as the Director of FCC Technology at Valero Energy Corporation since October 2022. Prior to this role, Michael had an extensive tenure at W. R. Grace & Co. from May 2007 to October 2022, where positions included Senior Director of Global Customer Technology, Chief FCC Technologist, and various technical sales roles. Michael's earlier career included experience as a Process Engineer and Assistant Area Manager at Hovensa and as a Technical Advisor at UOP. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison between 1994 and 1997.
