Lynwood Hines has extensive work experience in various technical roles. Lynwood most recently worked as a Senior Solutions Architect at Vali Cyber, where they led machine learning R&D to recognize Linux processes exhibiting malware behaviors. Previously, they worked at Medallia as a Senior Application Engineer, focusing on improving ASR accuracy through the development of novel substitution rules. Lynwood started their educational journey in 1984 at the College of Charleston, where they studied engineering for two years before transferring to Clemson University. At Clemson, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from 1986 to 1989.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Lynwood Hines pursued higher education at the Georgia Institute of Technology. From 1994 to 1998, they attended the institute and obtained a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. During their time at Georgia Tech, they focused on areas such as Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Computer Architecture, and Telecommunications.

In 2007, Lynwood Hines briefly enrolled at The Citadel, where they took two classes towards earning a Certificate in Technical Project Management. Lynwood'sstudies at The Citadel concluded in 2008.

In terms of certifications, Lynwood Hines obtained the Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer certification from the National Instruments in February 2013.
