Espen Stranger Seland

Espen Stranger Seland is an experienced architect currently working at VALI AS since March 2023. Prior to this role, Espen served as a Senior Advisor at the Direktoratet for e-helse from January 2016 to February 2023, focusing on organizational, semantic, and technical interoperability, as well as enterprise architecture and health informatics. Espen also held the position of Senior Adviser at Helsedirektoratet from January 2012 to December 2015, specializing in semantic interoperability and electronic collaboration in the Norwegian health care sector. Earlier experience includes a Senior Advisor role at KITH, where Espen worked on similar interoperability initiatives from June 2001 to December 2011, and a position as a Fotograf from 2005 to 2015, concentrating on live event and promotional music photography. Espen began in the hospitality sector as a bartender at Quality Grand Hotel Kongsberg from 1998 to 2001. Educational qualifications include a degree in Computer Science from the University of South-Eastern Norway and a Diploma in Project Management from BI Norwegian Business School.
