Jonathan Arnold, CSM, CSPO

Jonathan Arnold, CSM, CSPO has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Jonathan is currently working as a Software QA Lead at ValidaTek, Inc., where they support the Operations and Maintenance team by performing software analysis and testing, user ticket support, security patch testing, and deployment test support. Jonathan also assists with planning and testing database backup and restores.

Prior to their current role, Jonathan was a Quality Assurance Test Manager at JPI, where they facilitated an agile test team and oversaw software analysis and testing, test planning, automation, and simulated load testing. Jonathan worked closely with Development, Oracle Identity Management, and Service Ops teams to resolve access and security issues.

Before their experience in the technology field, Jonathan worked as a Building Performance Consultant at Better Building Works, LLC, where they provided energy and design consultation to improve efficiency, comfort, and health of residential and commercial structures. Jonathan used design software for quality analysis and managed a team to implement improvements. Jonathan also gained experience as an Owner and Energy Consultant at Tighter Communities, LLC, where they provided energy consulting services.

During their time at Community Housing Partners, Jonathan held various roles including Home Performance Project Manager, Project Superintendent, Building Science Trainer, and Energy Auditor. Jonathan performed QA and analysis of building envelope, systems, and indoor environmental quality (IEQ) conditions. Jonathan managed private home energy retrofits and had full site responsibility for a 2-building apartment complex.

Earlier in their career, Jonathan served as the Vice President/Owner and Estimator at New Concept Roofing. Jonathan was also a Combat Engineer, Horizontal Construction, and Ammunition Specialist in the Army National Guard for eight years.

Throughout their career, Jonathan has demonstrated their expertise in software analysis and testing, energy efficiency, quality assurance, project management, and team leadership.

Jonathan Arnold, CSM, CSPO, holds a Master's degree in Information Technology from Virginia Tech, which they obtained from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Construction Management from Virginia Tech between 2005 and 2009. Additionally, Jonathan Arnold has obtained two certifications: Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) from the Scrum Alliance in November 2022 and Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from the Scrum Alliance in August 2017.
