Brian Prusak is currently the VP, Corporate Controller at Validity. Prior to joining Validity, Brian served as the VP And Controller at iCAD from June 2019 to December 2021. In this role, they were responsible for managing internal and external financial reporting for a growing public medical device and software company, including preparation and filing all SEC required reporting on a timely basis. Brian also wrote accounting memos for quarterly reviews and annual audits, reviewed customer contracts to determine how to maximize revenue in multi element arrangements under ASC 606, and managed the process of creating updated Stand-Alone Selling prices (SSP’s) annually for accurate carves for ASC 606 revenue recognition.
Brian began their career in finance operations, serving as the VP Finance Operations at Skillsoft from March 2002 to June 2019. In this role, they were responsible for managing all accounting functions, including Revenue, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Billing, Commissions, and General Ledger. Brian also managed and processed all Equity related transactions, including obtaining board approvals, stock grants, exercises, and processing stock compensation expense.
Brian has over 20 years of experience in finance and accounting roles and is a certified public accountant (CPA). Brian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Northeastern University.
Brian Prusak has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting and Finance from Southern New Hampshire University and a BS in Accounting from Bentley University. Brian also attended East Bridgewater High School.
