Nelissa Henry, MBA has a diverse range of work experience. Nelissa began their career as a Materials Expeditor at the United States Marine Corps, where they gained experience in handling, storing, and disposing of materials. Nelissa then advanced to the role of Warehouse Specialist and later became an Assistant Stock Control Manager, where they oversaw various warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory, and vendor management.

Following their military service, Nelissa worked as a Beverage & Hospitality Manager at Red Lobster, where they managed daily restaurant operations and a team of over 50 employees. Nelissa excelled in staff recruitment, inventory management, customer service, policy compliance, and sales analysis.

Nelissa then transitioned to a role as a Membership Manager at Visit Yuma, where they focused on business development and client relationship management. Nelissa successfully established and maintained relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and individuals, and supported clients' business objectives through providing advertising and marketing opportunities.

Subsequently, Nelissa became a Vendor Account Manager at QuickSpark Financial, where they delivered contract management services and coordinated purchase services for vendors' customer base. Nelissa managed all phases of the contract cycle, from application submissions to compliance and execution, and evaluated suppliers for quality, pricing, and delivery timeliness.

More recently, Nelissa joined Valin Corporation as a Procurement Analyst. In this role, they provide support to the Materials Control Team and executive staff. Nelissa'sresponsibilities include forecasting, purchase order placement, negotiating costs, planning, expediting, order specifications, and ensuring timely delivery.

Additionally, Nelissa has future plans to serve as an Adjunct Professor at Chandler/Gilbert Community College, where they will utilize their expertise to educate and mentor students.

Nelissa Henry, MBA, has a Master of Business Administration degree from Grand Canyon University, which they completed in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Monroe College in 2013, with a focus on Hospitality & Tourism Management. In addition to their formal education, Nelissa also holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification obtained from The Council for Six Sigma Certification (CSSC) in August 2020.
