Michael Anderson (Mike)

Michael (Mike) Anderson's work experience includes various leadership roles in the defense industry. Michael (Mike) is currently the Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer at Valkyrie Enterprises, where they drive alignment and synergy across the organization and strengthens core capabilities. Previously, they served as the Vice President and General Manager of Axient, where they integrated business, security, and workforce to create a dynamic technical enterprise. Prior to that, they were the President of Systems Engineering Group, a subsidiary of Telephonics Corporation, where they led a cutting-edge organization specializing in threat modeling and simulation for defense. Michael (Mike) also served as a National Council Member for the American Society of Naval Engineers, focusing on mentoring and developing engineers in the Naval Combat Systems engineering community. Mike has extensive experience in missile defense, having served as a Deputy Program Executive and Technical Director at Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense. Michael (Mike) was also the US and NATO Program Manager for the NATO Seasparrow Surface Missile System Project. Earlier in their career, Mike served in the United States Navy, holding positions such as Commanding Officer and Combat Systems Officer. Mike Anderson has a strong education background in the field of engineering and management. Michael (Mike) attended the United States Naval Academy from 1983 to 1987, where they obtained a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Following this, Mike pursued higher education at the Naval Postgraduate School from 1991 to 1993, where they simultaneously earned two master's degrees. The first master's degree was in electrical engineering with a specialization in microwave, and the second master's degree focused on financial management. Additionally, Mike holds a certification in Level 3 Program Management from the Defense Acquisition University.
