John Austin

John Austin, MD, FACS, CHCQM, is currently the Chief Medical Officer at Valley Baptist Medical Center - Harlingen since November 2023 and serves as a Physician Advisor for Valley Baptist Health System since September 2021, specializing in case management and utilization management. Prior roles include Physician Advisor at Valley Ear Nose & Throat and Partner and Vice President at Austin Ear Nose & Throat Associates, where clinical focus was on treating ear, nose, throat, and head and neck disorders. John has academic experience as an Assistant Professor at MD Anderson Cancer Center and holds a fellowship in Head & Neck Surgery from UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. John is pursuing a Master's of Science in Health Administration at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, while also having completed medical education and residency training at top institutions, including Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California and University of Utah.
