Beverly Hayden-Pugh

SVP, Chief Nursing Officer & Chief Transformation Officer at Valley Children's Healthcare

As Senior Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Transformation Officer, Beverly Hayden-Pugh oversees care delivery at Valley Children's Hospital.

Beverly has led the organization in attaining Magnet Nursing Designation, recognition achieved by less than 5 percent of hospitals nationwide. The Magnet culture that Beverly has helped create at Valley Children’s exemplifies a professional environment that supports excellence in nursing practice, including promoting collaboration between nurses and physicians; utilizing advanced technology to achieve optimal care at the bedside, especially with the transformation to one electronic medical record (EMR); and conducting outreach and serving as leaders at the regional, state and national levels.

Beverly began her career with Valley Children's in 1983 as a staff RN in the pediatric oncology unit. Since then, she has served in a variety of positions at the Hospital, including gastroenterology and multispecialty clinic manager, administrative director of subspecialty clinics, and executive director of the ambulatory care division.

Beverly's educational background includes bachelor of science degrees in both health science and nursing from California State University, Fresno, and a master's degree in the field of organizational behavior from California School of Professional Psychology, also in Fresno.

Beverly is a member of several professional and community organizations, including the Association of Nurse Leaders, American College of Healthcare Executives, and Nursing Leadership Council.
